Small Living

An important aspect of compact living is the idea of making small spaces appear large. The challenge is to make small rooms appear spacious.

One strategy is to design the space in order to bring the outside into the inside, the outside surroundings are part of the daily routines. Another is to play with different levels, creating a sequence of spaces, playing with the proportions and perception of scale so the space seems larger than it actually is.

Adaptative Reuse

A transformative design approach that offers a way to give new life to empty historic buildings for the benefit of the community. The concept is to renew culturally significant sites that would otherwise be left to decay or demolished, allowing us to create unique and beautiful architecture while maintaining our heritage.

Take a look at our proposal for the competition in Portugal, the “Old Abrantes Market” into a new Multipurpose space. This project is part of our ongoing research on “adaptative reuse” architecture.

Escape

Stylish yet relaxed, hidden away in the back, set in a dreamy site with outstanding views. It is the sort of bucolic retreat that can be hard to come by in the mainstream tourist actual scene.

Want to spend your time outside, either on the shady terrace by the pool, where meals and drinks are served in the warm weather, or down on the private beach area where platforms built on the dark rocks are holding big white umbrellas.
